The north face of Potala Peak, there is a top-level and high-altitude Big Wall rock climbing route. This route is much more difficult than many other famous mountains. Climbing this route needs not only superb climbing skills but also rich experience in high altitude.
This extremely difficult route hampered the footsteps of many world famous climbers. Until now, there’s only one top-level climber -- Yasushi Yamanoi who had finished it successfully in 2005 after experienced the failure in 2004. Later, he named this route "Be Tough".
In August 2013, for the first time, three Chinese representative climbers came to challenge their limits on climbing. It is their first cooperation and also first attempt in climbing the route "Be Tough". They spent three years on climbing this route. During their climbing, there was lots of danger such as falling stones, glacier crevasses, and low temperature in high-altitude etc. Therefore a dialogue beyond time that was between Chinese and Japanese climbers is told in this documentary.
