Ceres is apoetic and tangible documentary film that follows four children as theyexperience the natural cycle of life on a farm. Each child lives on a remotefarm in the southwest of The Netherlands and is learning the profession oftheir ancestors from a young age. They dream that one day they will take overthe farm of their father.

Janet Van den Brand is a young, promisingDutch director currently living in Brussels whose films have been selectedfor  numerous film festivals including GenerationK-plus competition at the Berlinale in 2013 and 2018. After graduating as afiction director at the Sint-Lukas film school in Brussels in 2013 and doing anextra master in film directing at the Kask film school in 2015, she has used her experience as a fiction directorto produce the first documentary feature film Ceres.
