Yeh Chiaying has played an important role in the world of classical Chinese poetry, bridging past and future, influencing generations of writers and scholars such as Shi Shu, Ke Qingming, Qi Yishou, Pai Hsien-yung, and Chen Jo-hsi. While teaching in North America, Professor Yeh used Western critical methods to interpret Chinese poetry, opening the way for Western scholars of China’s poetic tradition. After coming to Tianjin’s Nankai University, she continued her cultural mission, stressing the importance of the“osmotic”method in studying poetry and actively promoting poetry education for children. 
Born in 1952, Tsun-Shing Cheng received his Ph.D. from École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales. He is the founder of Flâneur Cultural Lab. He was the recipient of Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (Officier) in 2012. He continues to labor in the field of aesthetics, philosophy and visual discourse, and works as a photographer, art critic and film director. From 2009, he served as executive producer of (The Inspired Island: Series of Eminent Writers form Taiwan). His documentary works include (Immigrants) (1979), (A Kun) (1980), (Zheng Zhai-Dong) (1993), (Narrative Biography of Yao Yi-Wei) (1997), (The Coming of Tulku) (2014) and (Port of Mists) (2014).
