GZDOC Signs MOU with HOTDOCS, IDFA, Sheffield and MIPTV
At this year’s festival, GZDOC signed MOUwith HOTDOCS, IDFA, Sheffield and MIPTV based on a shared hope to establish a closer mutual co-operation between these fourmajor international film festivals.
Liu Jun, Secretary General of GeneralOffice of the Organizing Committee of GZDOC and the other four representatives(Heather Ann Haynes, Senior Program Coordinator of Hotdocs; Andriek vanNieuwenhuyzen, Head of Industry Office IDFA; Luke Moody, Head of BritdocFoundation; ZHAO Xiaohui, Representative of CMM-I Media Consulting) signed MOUsin Guangzhou. These MOUs were signed with the objective to contribute to thedocumentary industry exchange and the enhancement of relations between Chinaand the international community.
With the MOUs, GZDOC and its partners canrecommend films from their own countries to befeatured at each other’s events. Each festival can nominate outstanding filmsfrom other countries.
Besides, GZDOC will work hand in hand withits partners in promoting the events with mutual respect. More films will beaccessible for audience of these countries on relevant websites and otherplatforms.
The signing of MOUs also providesopportunities for GZDOC to enhance communication with international filmfestivals, assisting GZDOC to be further internationalized and promotingoutstanding Chinese documentary films to the international audiences.
