Tenet rakes in 200 mln RMB in China as Mulan set for release

With an openingday box office collection of nearly 60 million RMB on Friday, Tenet  raked in a total of 200 million RMB from this market as of Sunday night.

Disney's long-awaited live-action flick Mulan, based on the legend of an ancient Chinese heroine of the same name, is set for release in China on Sept. 11, just one week after Tenet.

Mulan, according to folk legend, lived during a tumultuous era in Chinese history more than 1,400 years ago. She disguised herself as a man to serve in the army in place of her old father and fight for her country.

Venice VR Expanded selected documentary One More Minute premiered in Shanghai

One More Minute is a VR documentary about the stories that happened to individuals and families during COVID-19 pandemic period across China. It is filmed by over 100 individuals including professional VR creators and people who just learnt about VR filming. Produced by VeeR and MeDoc, the documentary collects different stories that happened exactly at 10AM on February 20th, 2020 in multiple Chinese cities, documents the time, the space and the emotion at that moment of various lives.

This VR documentary explores the theme of love and hope by observing a group of people at one specific minute during COVID-19 pandemic in China. The production was made possible by social media and online workspaces became a social event that all Chinese people can participate in. As social distancing becomes a norm, One More Minute links our lives in avirtual space and preserves the shared memory of our humanity.
