Song Zhang is the art director of Guangdong Sharp Sense Media and a pioneer of Lingnan-style Documentary. He was awarded the Model Worker of Guangdong Province and the National May 1st Labor Medal. With over 20 years of experience in documentary production, Song and his team have created a number of influential works with strong Lingnan characteristics. As of the beginning of 2023, they have made 41 masterpieces with a total length of 125 hours. Among these works, 34 have won 155 international, national, and provincial awards. Since 2010, 18 documentaries they produced have been aired on China Central Television. Seven pieces of their work, including The Story of the Hospital, Drunken Dragon, Migrating Auto Engineer, 43 Days, etc., have been included in the Catalogue of Excellent Domestic Documentaries by the National Radio and Television Administration.
He Haokun is a director and cinematographer at the Documentary Center of Guangdong Sharp Sense Media Co., Ltd. His main filming projects include Manufacturing Era, which won the “Best Work” award at the 2018 China (Guangzhou) International Documentary Film Festival, and The Four Great Department Stores, which was recognized as one of the top ten excellent documentaries at the 26th Chinese Documentary Academic Festival. His directorial work, Mountains and Rivers: History of China (1921-2021), won the “Best Historical Documentary Film Award” from the China Academy Awards of Documentary Film. Another one, Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge was selected as one of the outstanding domestic documentaries for the first quarter of 2023 and was invited to be showcased at the 34th International Sunny Side of the Doc Festival in France.
